A trilogy composed by three performances: Love will tear us apart, Boys don’t cry, The Beatles.
The entire project started with solo Love will tear us apart performed by dancer Petra Hrašćanec, that achieved success during its touring across Europe. Trilogy is a performance blending artistic and expressive genres: something between a rock concert and a piece of abstract dance. The ‘love’ in the title of the first part refers to the whole trilogy as the love for dance, for the act of dancing in itself. Performed on a sequence of post-punk, pop and rock love songs, the work investigates questions such as dance as an artistic act and social event, the issue of ownership in the creative process and the active role of the audience in interpreting it. Through evoking the golden age of pop music Trilogy is counting on an emotional and even physical response from viewers.
